START Programme - FNP stipends for young, talented researchers

Dr. Michał Turek from the Laboratory of Mitochondrial Biogenesis was awarded with the scholarship for young researchers given by Foundation for Polish Science (FNP) under the START Programme. The annual stipend is worth PLN 28,000, and the total amount of START stipends awarded by the Foundation in 2017 is nearly PLN 3 million.

The START Programme is directed to young researchers, at the outset of their career, who have already achieved some success in their field. The scholarships serve as recognition of the scientific attainments so far by these young scholars and as an incentive for further growth by enabling them to devote themselves fully to their research.
