Three Polish eminent scientists were distinguished by the President for their role in creation and/or development of the International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology: Prof. Jacek Kuźnicki, Prof. Maciej Nałęcz and Prof. Maciej Żylicz. The distinction comes 13 years after signing a relevant agreement between the Director-General of UNESCO and the Polish Government.
