Laboratory of Molecular and Cell Neurobiology seeks PhD Student to study various aspects of mTOR contribution to regulation of retromer complex in neuronal development and neurodevelopmental diseases. The fellowship is funded  in frame of National Science Centre OPUS grant (2017/27/B/NZ3/01358) entitled  “Role of TBC1D5 phosphorylation in neurodevelopment and TSC-related cell pathology” High motivation, analytical skills and independent thinking as well as fluent English are required. Previous experimental experience in one or more of following areas - electrophysiology, molecular and cell biology, neurobiology or developmental biology will be an additional asset.

Laboratory interest

Research of the Laboratory of Molecular and Cell Neurobiology focuses on molecular aspects of development of neurons. We are especially interested in role of mTOR kinase regulated processes (e.g., cytoskeleton dynamics, protein translation, membrane trafficking) in neurogenesis starting from neural stem cells to the end of circuitry formation.
