Laboratory of Structural Biology
The Laboratory of Structural Biology headed by Matthias Bochtler at the International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology (IIMCB), Warsaw invites applications from motivated and talented young researchers for a postdoc position.
The successful applicant will join an NCN funded project that focuses on the development of CRISPR nucleases as tools for targeted RNA knockdown, initially in the zebrafish model (https://www.biorxiv.org/content/early/2017/12/04/228775). The planned work will be carried out in collaboration with Dr. Gintautas Tamulaitis, Prof. Virgis Sisknys (IBT, Lithuania) and Dr. Cecilia Winata (the Laboratory of Zebrafish Developmental Genomics, IIMCB).
The ideal candidate should have received during the last seven years a PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, or genetics, and should have laboratory experience in at least two of these areas. Prior experience with zebrafish as a model organism and familiarity with sequencing and some bioinformatic training are highly desirable. Proficiency in English is expected since the Matthias Bochtler’s Laboratory and the Cecilia Winata’s Laboratory communicate in English (the lab leaders are not Polish).
We offer full-time employment contract for one year initially, with a possibility of extension for the duration of the project (36 months in total). The selected candidate can start September 1st or at his or her earliest convenience.
