The International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology in Warsaw is looking for Specialist in the Scientific Coordination Unit

Job description:

  • Preparation of selected information for scientific evaluation of the Institute.
  • Maintaining databases concerning employees’ scientific achievements (e.g. POL-on, PBN)
  • Preparation of applications for subsidies and related reporting to the Ministry of Education and Science.
  • Preparation of the documentation related to contained use of GMO and GMM.
  • Support in preparation and submission of documentation concerning ethical issues.
  • Assistance with post-PhD academic promotion and foreign degree recognition procedures.
  • Support and advice for scientists in completing the ethics and DMP sections in grants’ applications.
  • Gathering and sharing information concerning individual awards and scholarships for scientists. Assistance in the application process.
  • Support in the preparation of annual reports and organization of the International Advisory Board meetings.
  • Involvement in science dissemination, research integrity and open science related activities.


  • MSc or PhD degree (preferably in biological sciences or a related discipline).
  • Minimum two years of documented experience in science support & management
  • Excellent written and oral Polish and English skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Analytical and forward thinking skills.
  • Self-management, initiative in action and high organizational skills.
  • Commitment, reliability, accuracy and timeliness in the implementation of tasks.
  • Openness and strong social skills.
  • Ability to work as a part of a team.
