invites applications for the position of the Institute Director
The IIMCB, a unique research institute in Poland where cutting-edge research meets innovation, is seeking a visionary scientist with an international reputation to fill the position of Director. The impending move into a new building doubling available laboratory space offers an unprecedented opportunity to shape the IIMCB's development. The IIMCB’s mission is to support ambitious scientists of any nationality to pursue frontier research and respond to health-related societal challenges. The IIMCB is an international institute, as reflected in membership in the EU-LIFE, an alliance of 15 top European research institutions and its world class International Advisory Board. The IIMCB ranks among the best research centers in Poland, consistently rated in the A+ category in biological sciences by the Ministry of Science. English is the Institute’s language of operation.
The Director should be an PhD or MD-PhD scientist with strong leadership skills, outstanding scientific achievements, and international visibility. The Director will oversee all activities of the Institute, aided by 4 Deputy Directors and a highly competent administrative staff. In addition to fostering scientific excellence, the leader team will strive to maintain the collaborative and supportive working environment that is the hallmark of the IIMCB.

The application deadline is February 28, 2022. Short-listed applicants will be invited for interviews during the IIMCB’s International Advisory Board meeting on May 23-24, 2022. The position will be available from December 15, 2022. The appointment will include an outstanding salary and benefits package along with substantial start-up funding to establish the new Director’s research program.
