International Advisory Board Meeting in Warsaw

On 21–23 April 2026, the International Advisory Board (IAB) of the International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology (IIMCB) met in Warsaw.

During the meeting, competitions were held for the positions of Junior Group Leader, Junior Group Leader in Computational Biology, and the Director of the Institute. The Board also evaluated research group leaders and approved the Institute’s activities for 2025, offering recommendations for its continued development. As part of its annual review, the Board met with scientific staff to discuss ongoing research and provide guidance on future scientific directions. The programme also included the official awarding of doctoral diplomas to individuals who were granted the PhD degree by decision of the International Advisory Board.

The International Advisory Board (International Scientific Committee) of the International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology in Warsaw brings together distinguished scientists from leading research institutions in Europe and the United States. The Board is chaired by Joanna Wysocka from Stanford University, USA, and its Secretary is Juan Valcárcel Juárez from the Center for Genomic Regulation, Spain.
