Prof. Janusz M. Bujnicki has been elected a Member of the prestigious Academia Europaea

The Council of the Academia Europaea (AE) has announced Prof. Janusz M. Bujnicki  as one of the new Academy Members. Prof. Bujnicki, Head of the Laboratory of Bioinformatics and Protein Engineering is one of 302 eminent international scholars who were invited to accept membership in 2018, following an extensive peer evaluation process. Membership of the Academia Europaea (MAE) is a recognition conferred to individuals that have demonstrated sustained academic excellence.

The Academia Europaea:

  • promotes a wider appreciation of the value of European scholarship and research;
  • makes recommendations to national governments and international agencies concerning matters affecting science, scholarship and academic life in Europe;
  • encourages interdisciplinary and international research in all areas of learning, particularly in relation to European issues;
  • identifies topics of trans-European importance to science and scholarship, and propose appropriate action to ensure that these issues are adequately studied.
