This year's meeting is chaired by Prof. Marta Miączyńska

The EU-LIFE Community Meeting 2026 is taking place in Amsterdam. This year's meeting is chaired by Prof. Marta Miączyńska, Director of the International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology in Warsaw and Chair of EU-LIFE for 2026-2027.

The event gathers representatives of EU-LIFE member institutes to exchange knowledge, share experience, and discuss common priorities for independent life science research organisations in Europe. It creates space for the EU-LIFE community to reflect on how research is supported, organised, and strengthened across institutes.

EU-LIFE is an alliance of leading independent life science research institutes across Europe. It brings together 17 institutes from 16 countries, representing more than 11,000 staff members, over 650 research groups, and more than 200 technology facilities. The alliance supports excellent research, knowledge exchange, responsible governance, talent development, and a strong voice for independent research institutes in European science policy.

For IIMCB, participation in EU-LIFE is part of a broader commitment to work with European partner institutes on the conditions that help science. This includes sharing institutional experience, strengthening networks, and contributing to discussions on research excellence, infrastructure, research environments, and science policy.
