2nd International FishMed Conference on Zebrafish Research (FishMed2018) will be held on March 25-27, 2018 at IIMCB, Warsaw, Poland.


On September 26, 2017, IIMCB organized two “Be Healthy as a Fish” workshops as a festival lessons at 21st edition of the Science Festival in Warsaw.

 

The Anniversary Symposium was held on May 17, 2018 at IIMCB to celebrate 20th Anniversary of the Institute. The event was an opportunity to recall the history and achievements of the Institute during these 20 years, as well as to listen to lectures of the members of the Institute's International Advisory Board. Prof. Marta Miączyńska and Dr. Marcin Nowotny were awarded the TEAM programme from the Foundation for Polish Science (FNP).

On December 14, 2016 Prof. Marta Miączyńska was appointed one of the members of the Council of the NCN for the 2016-2020 term.

On December 1, 2016 the General Assemble of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAS) elected new members.

On November 24, 2016 Prof. Agnieszka Chacińska was honored with the Prime Minister's Award for outstanding scientific achievements.

On November 25, 2016 IIMCB was hosting a delegation of European Junior Academy of Sciences (EuroJAS).

Izabela Sabała, Elżbieta Jagielska and Matthias Bochtler were awarded the SILVER MEDAL for “Aurezyna – new way to combat staphylococcus” which has been honored as a special invention at the 68th International Trade Fair “Ideas - Inventions - New Products” – iENA 2016.
