PhD student position in the Laboratory of RNA Biology - ERA Chairs Group
Laboratory of RNA Biology - ERA Chairs Group https://shorturl.at/lxI56 at the International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology (IIMCB), Warsaw, headed by Andrzej Dziembowski, Prof. is looking for PhD student.
You will join the project entitled „Principles of endogenous and therapeutic mRNA turnover in vivo”, acronym ViveRNA (Project no 101097317) under Horizon Europe of the European Union, funded by the ERC Advanced Grant.
The exact nature of the project will depend on the skills, predispositions, and interests of the selected PhD student. It may focus on:
- analysis of mRNA stability in vivo with the help of transgenic mouse models,
- mastering of the DRS methodology in either the experimental part or bioinformatic analysis,
- analysis of principles of mRNA stability control and design of more efficient mRNA based therapeutics.
You will be also responsible for analyzing the data, preparing various forms of dissemination of the results obtained and participating in the mandatory activities of the Doctoral School.

Requirements for the candidate:
- Master's degree in biology, biochemistry or related field,
- Highly talented individuals who are passionate about research and are full of scientific curiosity,
- Experience in either: molecular biology/transcriptomics, animal models, bioinformatic analysis of transcriptomic data, will be a clear benefit,
- Written and spoken fluency in English,
- Willingness to learn and take new challenges, ability to work independently, analytical thinking,
- Good interpersonal skills and a collaborative attitude
We offer:
- Full-time employment contract for 48 months
- Gross monthly remuneration starting from approx. 5 640 PLN
- Position with 100% focus on research (no teaching obligations)
