Two PhD Student positions in the Laboratory of Cellular Genomics

The Laboratory of Cellular Genomics  https://olab.com.pl/  https://shorturl.at/JNT69 at the International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology (IIMCB), Warsaw headed by Dr Aleksandra Kołodziejczyk is looking for two PhD students.

You will join the project entitled “Gut-liver axis in liver cirrhosis” carried out as the NAWA Polish Returns grant (no of agreement BPN/PPO/2022/1/00023/U/00001).

Aim of the project: In this project we aim to examine the gut-liver axis in a mouse model of chronic liver disease, specifically (1) to elucidate the role of microbiota in the progression of liver disease and (2) to understand how liver damage affects microbiota and gut physiology. To address these questions, we will use in vitro and in vivo models of disease and its aspects and advanced genomics (such as single cell RNA sequencing, metagenomics) and bioinformatics.

As a PhD student you will be responsible for performing experiments, analyzing data, collaborating with other team members, preforming literature search, participating in lab meetings, participating in national and international conferences as well as writing thesis and publications.
