The best papers are selected by the Institute’s Lab Leaders based on contents and significance, but not the bibliometric data. A full list and the pdf files of all the papers submitted for the Award are sent to each Lab Leader. They read all of them and choose those which in their view deserve the Award. Of course they cannot vote for the papers from their own laboratory. The results are discussed during a Lab Leaders meeting and the final list of winning papers is approved.

The results of the competition were announced on Friday, March 12, before the seminars presented as a part of the IIMCB’s Internal Seminar Series.
