Dr. Katarzyna Mleczko-Sanecka, head of the Laboratory of Iron Homeostasis at IIMCB was among 200 outstanding young scientists who received the Scholarship of the Minister of Science and Higher Education.

A scholarship of the minister for outstanding young scientists can be obtained by a young scientist (up to 35 years) who has demonstrated significant achievements in scientific activity. The scholarship is an award for scientific and research achievements in such fields as i.a: humanities and social sciences, exact sciences, technical, medical, natural, agricultural and art sciences. Scholarships are awarded for a maximum period of 3 years and candidates must continue their researches throughout the whole funding period.
