Prof. Janusz Bujnicki has received funding under the EXPRESS CALL TO FUND RESEARCH ON COVID-19. Prof. Bujnicki, Head of the Laboratory of Bioinformatics and Protein Engineering received funds to conduct research under the project: Determination of the 3D structure of key regulatory regions at the 5' and 3' termini of SARS-CoV-2 RNA and identification of small molecule compounds that prevent the formation of these structures. Granted funds: 951 000 PLN.
Express call to fund research into COVID-19 is organized by National Science Center (NSC). The objective of the call was to expand the knowledge needed to understand the mechanisms of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, diagnostic procedures, treatment, prevention and the psychological and social effects of the pandemic.
