On December 5, 2019, the General Assembly of the Polish Academy of Sciences has chosen new national members. IIMCB representatives appointed among the newly elected PAS members:

Prof. Marta Miączyńska, Director of IIMCB and Head of the Laboratory of Cell Biology (corresponding member);

Prof. Jacek Kuźnicki, Head of the Laboratory of Neurodegeneration (ordinary, so far a corresponding member);

Prof. Andrzej Dziembowski, Head of the Laboratory of RNA Biology (corresponding member).
New members of the Academy are chosen by the General Assembly from among candidate scholars who have made outstanding contributions to their fields and command respect among the scientific community.
