Prof. Jacek Jaworski, Head of the Laboratory of Molecular and Cellular Neurobiology was awarded with 3[nbsp]088[nbsp]120 PLN within the 3rd edition of STRATEGMED Programme of NCBR. Prof. Jaworski will be involved in the multipartner project titled: “Application of novel diagnostic and therapeutical methods in epilepsy and neurodevelopmental abnormalities in children based on the clinical and cellular model of mTOR dependent epilepsy “. The project will last three years and will be realized by a consortium consisting of 8 partners, led by Prof. Sergiusz Jóźwiak from the Medical University of Warsaw. The whole requested budget for the consortium is 16[nbsp]847[nbsp]247 PLN.

The STRATEGMED Programme is to stimulate the innovation and competitiveness of Polish economy, particularly in biotechnology, biomedical engineering areas, by means of projects oriented to development and implementation of new methods used in the areas of: prevention, diagnosis, medical treatment and rehabilitation. The Programme is financed by the National Centre for Research and Development.
