Dr. Krzysztof Skowronek was appointed as an Ombudsman for Administrative Employees at the International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology in Warsaw.
The Ombudsman for Administrative Employees (hereinafter referred to as the Ombudsman) shall act as a mediator who – as an independent and neutral person – will counsel and assist in solving problems reported by administrative employees at IIMCB. Employees shall turn to the Ombudsman for assistance in resolving disputes and conflicts regarding IIMCB community and the correct performance of applicable norms in accordance with the principles of honesty and justice. The Ombudsman’s actions shall focus on and promote mutual understanding, cooperation and dialogue between the parties involved. The underlying principles of the Ombudsman's activity shall include keeping confidentiality and neutrality in accordance with the rules approved by IIMCB contained in the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the recruitment of researchers. The purpose of the position of the Ombudsman at IIMCB shall be promoting fair and equitable treatment within the Institute and improving the overall quality of the working environment.
