Dr. Urszula Białek-Wyrzykowska was appointed as an Ombudsman for Researchers at the International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology in Warsaw.

The Ombudsman [nbsp]for Researchers shall act as a mediator who, as an independent and neutral person, will counsel and assist in solving problems reported by researchers and students enrolled in PhD programmes at IIMCB. Researchers and PhD students shall turn to the Ombudsman for assistance in resolving disputes and conflicts regarding the community of researchers and the correct performance of applicable norms in accordance with the principles of honesty and justice. The underlying principles of the Ombudsman's activity shall include keeping confidentiality and neutrality in accordance with the rules approved by IIMCB contained in the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the recruitment of researchers. The purpose of the position of the Ombudsman at IIMCB shall be promoting fair and equitable treatment within the Institute and improving the overall quality of the working environment.
