On May 5, 2014 IIMCB will host Prof. Venki Ramakrishnan from the Structural Studies Division, MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge, UK.

As a part of the event ''Meet the ribosome'', Prof. Ramakrishnan will deliver two lectures entitled ''Structural biology of the elongation cycle of the ribosome'' and ''Use of recent advances in electron microscopy to study the ribosome at high resolution''.

Prof. Venki Ramakrishnan shared the 2009 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for studies of the structure and function of the ribosome.
