On 11 December 2013, Division Two: Biological and Agricultural Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences honoured Dr. Marta B. Wisniewska, Dr. Katarzyna Misztal, Andrzej Nagalski - PhD student and Prof. Jacek Kuznicki with an award for a series of research papers focused on β-catenin as a factor that influences the excitability of thalamic neurons by regulating gene expression.
