New Core Facility has been opened at the International Institute of Molecular and cell Biology on Thursday 15th of November 2012.

The state-of-the-art, licensed zebrafish facility comprises of a water plant, stand-alone unit (quarantine) and the main system manufactured by Tecniplast. The system can hold approximately 6000 of adult fish but further extension is planned. Currently, 11 different lines of zebrafish are being bred and more lines will be introduced in the near future. In the spring 2013 IIMCB’s Zebrafish Core Facility should be fully operational and ready to supply fish and expertise to the internal and external users.
