[nbsp]The ERA.NET-RUS FP7 research project coordinated by Prof. Jacek Kuźnicki was selected for funding. Prof. Kuznicki will coordinate a three partner consortium which will work on “Pathways of Store-Operated Calcium Entry (SOCE) as novel therapeutic target in neurodegenerative diseases” (Project acronym: TargetSOCE). Our scientist will cooperate with Prof. Axel Methner from University Hospital Düsseldorf, Germany and Prof. Elena Kaznacheyeva from Institute of Cytology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, St. Petersburg, Russia. Responding to the ERA.NET-RUS program objectives, TargetSOCE project aims at intensifying and strengthening long-term S[&]T cooperation between Russia and Europe. This joint scientific collaboration will be funded from national sources of each participating team. IIMCB will receive support in the amount of 545[nbsp]623,47 PLN from the National Centre for Research and Development. This two year project will start on October 1st 2012.
