On February 19, 2022 we celebrated Polish Science Day for the third time. On this occasion, the Polish Science Gala was held (remotely) during which the awards of the Minister of Education and Science were announced. Among the laureates are scientists from IIMCB. Prof. Marcin Nowotny, Head of the Laboratory of Protein Structure, together with his collaborators received an award for outstanding scientific achievements. The awarded research team composed of Marta Gapińska, MSc (IIMCB), Dr. Vineet Gaur (IIMCB), Dr. Karolina Górecka (IIMCB), Dr. Shivlee Nirwal (IIMCB), Aleksandra Szlachcic, MSc (IIMCB), Weronika Zajko, MSc (IIMCB), Prof. Jarosław Poznański (IBB, Poland), Dr. Miroslav Krepl and Prof. Jiří Šponer (IBP, Czech Republic).

The ceremony was also an opportunity to present officially the names of the 43 winners of the Prime Minister's Awards, and among them was honored Prof. Marta Miączyńska, Director of IIMCB and Head of the Laboratory of Cell Biology, who received the award for achievements in scientific activities in 2020.
