As providers of centralized access to technological services, expertise, and training for scientists, core facilities are an integral part of the life scientific research environment. Excellence in research requires that all contributions be appropriately recognized. EU-LIFE Core Facility Working Group including Joanna Dodzian (Zebrafish Core Facility) and Krzysztof Skowronek (Biophysics and Bioanalytics Facility) published a commentary in EMBO Reports on the significance of acknowledging and citing research infrastructures' contributions to science.
