We are proud to announce, Aleksandra Bilska and Iga Wasilewska have been awarded!

Aleksandra Bilska from the Laboratory of RNA Biology - ERA Chairs Group was among the 100 most talented Polish scientists under 30 in the START 2021 programme. As a laureate of the competition, selected from 1 034 candidates, she will receive a scholarship in the amount of PLN 28,000, which is a proof of recognition of her achievements to date. Scholarship can be spent for any purpose.

“Start” programme is organized by the Foundation for Polish Science. It is Poland’s largest scholarship programme for the best young scientists representing all fields of science. It is directed to young researchers, at the outset of their career, who have already achieved some success in their field. The stipends serve as recognition of the scientific attainments so far by these young scholars and as an incentive for further growth by enabling them to devote themselves fully to their research.

Iga Wasilewska form the Laboratory of Neurodegeneration was among 217 outstanding young scientists who received the Scholarship of the Minister of Science and Higher Education. 

A scholarship of the minister for outstanding young scientists can be obtained by a young scientist who has demonstrated significant achievements in scientific activity. Scholarships are awarded for a maximum period of 3 years and awardees must continue their research throughout the whole funding period.
