Dr. Marcin Nowotny has been awarded an International Senior Research Fellowship Renewal from the Wellcome Trust.

In the outcome of the recent calls for proposals announced by the National Science Centre, IIMCB scientists received in total 6 469 475 PLN.

The ERA.NET-RUS FP7 research project coordinated by Prof. Jacek Kuźnicki was selected for funding.

Together with 6 European regions IIMCB launched a project aimed to identify and exchange best practices for effective technology transfer in biotechnology.

On May 11 in the International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology Consortium agreement between IIMCB and University of Gdansk was signed.

The COMBIOM Initial Scientific Meeting took place in Kiev, Ukraine, on May, 16th-17th. Organized by IMBG, it involved COMBIOM participants from partnering bodies: Institute Gustave Roussy, Paris, France and IIMCB. Our institute’s delegation involved: Jacek Kuźnicki, Marta Miączyńska, Jacek Jaworski, Matthias Bochtler....

In March the cooperation agreement between our Institute and the Max-Planck Society (MPG) has been finalized and signed by Prof. Peter Gruss, President and Dr. Ludwig Kronthaler, Secretary General of MPG and by Prof. Jacek Kuźnicki, Director and Prof. Michał Witt, Scientific Director of IIMCB

Stanislaw Dunin-Horkawicz, Katarzyna Misztal, Irina Tuszyńska, Małgorzata Figiel and Maria Werner were awarded with stipends for young researchers given by Foundation for Polish Science (FNP) under the START Programme.
