On November 6, 2014 President of the Republic of Poland Bronisław Komorowski presented professorial appointments for 61 academic teachers, employees of science and art. In the group of nominees was Agnieszka Chacińska, Head of the Laboratory of Mitochondrial Biogenesis.

Dr. Elżbieta Nowak from the Laboratory of Protein Structure was awarded with the L’Oreal Poland – UNESCO Award for Women in Science, in the 14th edition of this program.

Dr. Cecilia Lanny Winata and Prof. Matthias Bochtler received funding under the OPUS 7 scheme.
