Technology Transfer Office

Technology Transfer Office (TTO) created as one of the pillars of the RACE project is committed to supporting IIMCB’s researches in identifying and developing scientific discoveries that can be turned into solutions for patients and society. IIMCB’s efforts in becoming a unique Center of Excellence is supported by the advice of EU-LIFE working groups and the Commercialization Advisory Committee (CAC). CAC is composed of international experts in science valorization, including our advanced partners from VIB and the University of Edinburgh.

Building Partnerships for Innovation
We are constantly building our expertise to provide professional support in intellectual property rights protection, science valorization and commercialization for IIMCB’s scientists. Building network and collaboration with local and international academic and industrial partners are one of the main activities of the TTO in the mission of transferring great scientific innovations into solutions that can benefit the society. 

Our Team:
Kornelia Mikuła, PhD – Head of Technology Transfer Office, responsible for identifying industry partners, contract drafting and negotiations (research collaborations, licensing, MTA, CDA/NDA, service).
Paweł Botwina, PhD – Innovation Specialist, responsible for assessing patentability of new innovations, patent drafting and prosecution.
